ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE
Dungeness Meadows Architectural Control Committee (ACC) operates under the mission statement: to assist our homeowners openly and with transparency to make improvements to their properties under the guidelines of the Association. In order to maintain, protect and enhance property values, the ACC is charged in our Covenants with approving the design and location of new homes, exterior changes to existing homes and assuring compatibility with neighboring properties. Committee members work with homeowners in identifying and obtaining required county permits, locating professional services and meeting community standards.
ACC approval must be given before tree removal, fence construction, painting, major landscaping or exterior remodeling and construction. The process begins with a request from the property owner, including plans, paint colors, contractors’ blueprints and other specific details of the project. Emergency repairs, such as leaking roofs or failed septic systems, may be verbally approved with the appropriate paperwork to follow.
Individual tastes are honored as long as they are in compliance with the Association’s rules. The committee works with homeowners to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution to any problems that may arise. Owners are encouraged to contact ACC as early as possible in the planning process to assure smooth progress in achieving their goals.
